A day becomes a week, a week a month!

Optimism is in our blood.  We are 100% sure that when it opens, the Blue Rooster will be a fine addition to Main St Cranbury. 

HOWEVER, each step along the way is taking more time than these optimists could possibly have  imagined.

We will have a firm date for the ground breaking, by the end of next week.  Watch this space! There will be a rooster event to celebrate.

The work to build our bakery kitchen and to refine the interior of our glorious 1850's building to meet all township and health requirements for a bakery & cafe will take on the order of 4-5 months, sooooo.....

we will not make our planned  spring opening.    --- with all the facts and figures at our disposal today, we are targeting Labor Day weekend for our opening.  

Stick with us and with the blog -- we will hold events and keep you posted on all the happenings and if there is a bread siting, you will hear it here first!

Mike Toth is our builder

Bob and I are pleased to let you all know that Mike Toth, a local fellow who has 30+ years experience in the building business, is our builder.  He and his team will build the Blue Rooster Bakery's kitchen and all the necessary components that go along with it.

Our ground breaking is now in sight, the timeline to that important day has two critical items:    1) contruction depart review and 2) township engineer start up meeting. 

So, the official project start date will be posted asap  -- and the date of our ground breaking coffee event will be announced along with it!

Live - from Cranbury - Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey

Hannah & Mason has Gordo coming in this week and his crew is set up in the PNB parking lot. We met them on Monday and on Tuesday, they were enjoying FOGBUSTER coffee - the one you all liked best at our Coffee Tasting on Cranbury Day, 2007.

Good beans, well roasted, and good water make FOGBUSTER fabulous. Now, all we need is a good kitchen and the Blue Rooster 'show' will be ready to roll!

Get Ready for the GROUND BREAKING!!!!

I can't imagine that many of you are quite as excited as Bob and I -- we are very close to breaking ground for the new bakery addition at 17 North Main Street. This is the key to our being able to answer the question we are asked so often, "When are you opening?"

So, keep your eyes pealed, we will have an ground breaking coffee event in the coming weeks! We hope you'll plan to be there!
